The duchess asked:

When I was 3 years old I almost drowned. (Apparently) I stopped breathing while underwater and they had to resuscitate me, I was in the hospital and everything. I don’t remember anything about the incident but I have very weird dreams that I think is connected to the memory of the incident.

I’m not scared of swimming pools or anything, and the ocean is still okay, but sometimes when I hear the waves crashing it makes me feel extremely scared. Also once my mother took me river rafting and while my other siblings enjoyed it, to me it was like trying to survive and broke down crying in the middle of it.

The other day we went to a theme park and there was this water ride that my friends wanted to go on, I wanted to too, but I got so scared again. I went on and I was literally freaking out the whole ride. I did the ride a couple more times and got more comfortable with it, but I was still very scared. I figured out it’s moving water that freaks me out the most. Will I ever get over my fear of moving water? And what can I do?

I mean, how would a chill person do good in school when they don’t really care about grades and stuff?

I’ve been relaxed and calm lately, and the grades are going downhill lol.. i love the mood i’m in! it’s like a natural high lol. i don’t want to stress over stupid grades that do NOT define how smart a person is. Come on, really. Grades are nothing. It depends on how good you are at memorizing information, getting the smart genes, and showing your teachers how much you care by participating in class and all that jazz.

All that matters is happiness, right?
Why should I stress over assignments I have no interest in? I learn way more on Y!A than at school anyway.
I have A’s, B’s, C’s, and a D. first semester, it was A’s and B’s. see the difference? lol.

But I was miserable. I feel great now, and I don’t care about going to the top schools. Everyone has their own ways of learning. I would love to go to a school that teaches outdoors! oh man how fun! hike up some trails and learn during breaks or something. White river rafting [is that what it's called?] the fun stuff.

Oh man I’m getting really off track.
So are there any mellow people out there that have awesome grades? How do you do it?

I’m worried because I’m going on a river rafting trip and (of course) I’m going to have to get wet. This is only my 2nd period ever and I need some help with tampons.

When I put my tampon on, it’s always toward the very bottom of my vagina, and there seems to be a lot of extra space above it, When I have my period won’t it still get on my pants because of the space that there isn’t a tampon? Is this normal?
Sorry if it’s sort of graphic, please understand. Thanks
I’ve got it in and I can’t feel it. When I put it up higher, it seems to be more uncomfortable
I was using a super one
I can see it because of the string

Whenever I talk with one of my black friends, or any black person in general, they always look for racism from the things I say. Examples are when I talk about ‘white river rafting’ or how I prefer vanilla ice cream over chocolate ice cream (what??? Vanilla just tastes better to me!), or how I **** really dark coffee (too strong for me)… they always act like I’m being racist, when in actual fact they are just looking/digging for racism.

My question is, why do they do it? Why do people these days digg for racism in places where it doesn’t exist? Is it because there isn’t enough racism around anymore?

Whitewater rafting is a very thrilling and adventurous water sport. It is a demanding recreational activity which makes use of a raft to navigate a river or other bodies of water. Every year a lot of Americans undertake this activity to experience the excitement and exhilaration of this amazing water sport.

Rafts used for whitewater rafting come in a variety of forms. Nowadays inflatable boats are used as rafts and consists of durable, multi-layered rubberized or vinyl fabrics with several independent air chambers. Rafts are usually propelled with ordinary paddles and hold 4 to 12 persons generally. Other types are the asymmetrical, rudder-controlled raft and the symmetrical raft with central helm (oars).

The South Fork is the river for everyone! A river that is a favorite of boaters all over the country, the South Fork is the perfect river for first time rafters and experienced boaters alike. It’s great for family and large group trips. You can opt for half-day, single day and two day trips, depending on your convenience and time.

Whitewater rafting on American rivers is unpredictable depending on the weather on the particular day and the rapids of the river that you visit. River beds change on a constant basis and due to this one cannot estimate the correct depth and speed of the waves at any particular time. Safety is always on the first plan for all rafting guides and they will make that clear before starting the rafting trip. There will be no exception made as that can cause fatal circumstances.

Whitewater rafting on American Rivers not only provides a great work for the body but also provides you a relaxing and enjoyable experience. It also works great in relieving the stress that you have collected or accumulated for the entire year. It is a mind blowing water sport and one should certainly undertake it.

Paul Kapschock asked:

Rafting is an exhilarating and fun experience for everyone. Rafters often come to different rivers all over the country to respect the power of the water while enjoying serene surroundings that are only broken by the sound of the rushing waters. Although it looks dangerous, this type of adventure is actually available for the whole family. Young and adults, novice and experts could enjoy the waters while being close to nature like never before.

Rafting: The Basics

White water rafting is an activity wherein an individual or a group maneuvers through the river usually using their paddles while inflatable boats. Rafting or whitewater rafting is done as a hobby itself or as means of going through the river while enjoying the surroundings.

Rivers are classified based on the challenges such as rocks, waves and the requirement for maneuver. There are six classes wherein class six is the most dangerous and never recommended for anyone while class one is a type of river that provides little to no waves. No skills and small amounts of maneuvering are needed for class one. As the class increases, the danger also increases which requires more skills and experience for rafting.

Class 1 has manageable rough areas which require no skill level.

Class 2 requires maneuvering but still good enough for beginners.

Class 3 is already rough for first time rafters since advanced paddling skills are required.

Class 4 has stronger waves, rocks and possible drops which is only ideal for experienced rafters.

Class 5 features large rocks, stronger waves and deep drops. Only rafters with advanced experience and skills should consider going through this class.

Class 6 is very dangerous and could be fatal. Even with great skill and experience, the waters and condition is very dangerous.

But families will still like the waters in this area since there are stretches that could accommodate their skills. Besides the strong and challenging waters for everyone, the 2.3 million acres is home to some of the country’s deepest gorges while its mountains, particularly the Sawtooth Mountains offer a breathtaking view of the area. Because of the size of Salmon River, a two-day trip is never enough. Most of the vacation trips here last for at least three days.

The river is full life in the vast Kennebec River as river otters and Atlantic salmon could be spotted here.

Rafting Safety

Safety is always the priority of the guides as well as professional rafters. Helmets and life jackets are very important during rafting even in Class 1 rivers. Pointed objects should never be brought to the boat as this could be dangerous if the boat strikes against hard objects. Information is also the key to safety. Check the conditions of the river before visiting the area. Extra caution has to be done when traveling with the family. Most guides follow the strict rule of the minimum age for rafting. Knowing the age restriction will also prevent frustration on location.

Rafting Vacation Options

Depending on location, your rafting vacation could only last for a day, overnight or multiple nights. If you and your family are only here for rafting, then a half day adventure in the water should be more than enough. However, there are multiday trips that would be perfect during the summer. It may require hiking but guides are smart enough to get you to the most scenic places with different water challenges as fast as possible. Your trip could be very comfortable if you have the budget since your traveling company will bring the food and supplies to you, but you can still enjoy the scenery if you don’t have a good budget. The only difference is the comfort of traveling since you might have to bring your own food and supplies for cheaper multiday trips.

White water rafting is a great activity that could be enjoyed by the whole family every summer. Through careful planning and observing safety during the entire trip, rafting will never be dangerous but a fun activity for the whole family.
