When I put my tampon on, it’s always toward the very bottom of my vagina, and there seems to be a lot of extra space above it, When I have my period won’t it still get on my pants because of the space that there isn’t a tampon? Is this normal?

I’ve got it in and I can’t feel it. When I put it up higher, it seems to be more uncomfortable
